AUDITIONS: Sat, March 27 and Sun March 28 from 12 - 4 pm in Weigel Hall Room 177, 1866 N. College Road on the OSU campus. Please bring picture and resume and prepare one 2-minute monologue. You will also be asked to read from the script.
The production will run for 8 performances between May 19-29 at Columbus Dance Theatre.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
Jules - male; a marine biology graduate student; 28ish; uncomfortable, excitable, literal
Jo - female; an undergraduate journalism student; 22ish; strong, skeptical, physical
Barbara: female; a natural history docent; 40s-50s; buoyant, vulnerable, passionate, grand
PLOT:
Jo, a female journlism student, and Jules, a male marine biologist, meet in a subterranean biology lab for an erotic "casual encounter." But there's nothing casual whatsoever about this particular evening. Will meaningless sex have meaning? What's going on in the fish tank? And who is that woman, Barbara, pulling levers in the corner? Something is about to explode.
